The Challenge
Following the merger of Unlock Health and SPM Group, the organization needed to consolidate multiple lines of business into a single, cohesive digital presence without losing the clarity of each offering. At the same time, client feedback indicated the existing brand felt too dark and unapproachable, requiring a thoughtful visual evolution that remained aligned with established brand guidelines. The redesign also needed to balance accessibility, usability, and lead generation within a tight timeline, while establishing a scalable, component-based system to support long-term growth and consistency.
The Approach
Conduct brand personality research through surveys and interviews to understand perception gaps and define a more welcoming visual direction grounded in user expectations.
Develop personas representing key audiences to ensure the experience addressed real needs across the organization’s expanding footprint.
Redesign the site’s information architecture and wireframes to clearly organize and communicate distinct business lines, then translate insights into a flexible, component-based design system using style tiles, iterative prototyping, and refined visual hierarchy.
The Results
A unified, approachable digital experience that successfully brought together Unlock Health’s expanded offerings under a cohesive brand presence. The redesigned website delivered a lighter, more strategic visual identity supported by a scalable design system, resulting in a clearer, more engaging platform that effectively communicates expertise and resonates with healthcare marketers.
