Overview
Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) came to us requesting a reimagining of their Careers website. Our goal was to create an updated version of the site that emphasized the system’s unique Employee Value Proposition (EVP) in a competitive landscape.
It was also equally vital to give the Careers site a UX and UI update to align with both contemporary front-end trends and user experience best practices. Our clients expected a “wow” factor to the design, which inspired us to create more cutting-edge visuals while keeping the existing brand identity full intact.

Challenges
This project came with several key challenges:
Fast timeline requiring an efficient and agile design process.
A limited number of components scoped to create the entire microsite (maximum 12)
Limited flexibility in the design approach, as the final site needed to align with strict brand standards.
Integration with creative, media, and advertising teams to create a holistic campaign approach for careers at NGHS.
Research & UX Foundation
To ensure the Careers site effectively communicated NGHS’s EVP, we began with a comprehensive information architecture audit. We analyzed competitor career sites, user behavior data, and stakeholder input to define a streamlined structure that balanced storytelling with job-seeking functionality.
We explored multiple style tile directions, testing different ways to modernize the UI while maintaining brand cohesion. These explorations led to a refined visual direction that felt fresh and engaging without straying from NGHS’s identity.
With a strong foundation in place, we moved into wireframing, ensuring that key touchpoints—such as job search, application flows, and employee storytelling—were intuitive and engaging.
Design Process
My team developed scalable design system, equipping NGHS with reusable UI components for future updates. Each component was built with accessibility in mind and documented with clear specifications to guide implementation.
As we built the design system, we worked on designed prototypes as well. Collaboration was crucial, as we worked closely with creative, media, and advertising teams to align visuals and messaging. This ensured that the Careers site was not just a standalone digital experience but a key piece of a larger recruitment campaign.
Outcome
The redesigned NGHS Careers site delivered a visually striking, user-friendly experience that differentiated the health system in a competitive hiring landscape. By balancing strategic UX updates with a bold UI refresh, we created a platform that both engaged job seekers and reinforced NGHS’s employer brand.
The integration of a scalable design system provided long-term flexibility, ensuring that NGHS can continue evolving the site to meet future hiring needs.
